Dear Sir,

Since I have linked you with the bank and the account department of the federal ministry of finance (FMF), you have not been feeding me back with the discussion between you and the bank. Hope all is going on smoothly, as I expect you to be sincere with me.

I beg you let me know what is going on because you know that I can not appear at the scene right now in order to avoid any suspicion. I am expecting you to, for God sake, tell me what is happening. If the money had been released to you let me know.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Mr. Peter

I welcome you back from Paris. I thank god that your journey was successful hence your return mail. Your email account had been on auto response since you left for Paris. I have sent you several emails and I will like you to forward the following information to me as that is the only thing delaying the conclusion of this deal on our own part. The information is as follows:

1. The name, address, tel and fax numbers of your private company as well as your position therein.
2. The telephone and fax numbers of the bank for easier communication between Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and your bank. The swift code is also requested if available.

Kindly note that we have gone very far in this deal and we now expect you to be up and doing most especially now that all the necessary documents now bear your name and bank account as the beneficiary. Your name has now been stored in the computer while some documents have been sent to both the Federal Ministry of Finance (FMF) and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) but work is not yet completed since you have sent us the details of your company. So, what company executed the contract is the QUESTION?

I want you to immediately send this information as I am expecting you to call +234 803 722 4822 as soon as you receive this message for better explanation.

Thanks for your co-operation.

Yours sincerely,

Engr. Michael Howard.

Secondly, you are to follow any given instruction so as to enjoy the good co-operation of the concerned authorities. I will like you to understand that I can not be appearing at the scene for now. Thus, you are going to be acting as a true and original contractor so as to make this deal a huge success. Thanks.

Subject: Back from Paris

Dear Michael Howard,

I´m back from Paris. It was nice.

I bought myself a little souvenir - I sent you attached a photo of it.

Well, I don´t know, if I told you, that I´m an ELVIS
fan. You could tell from my e-mail, I guess.

In Paris I met a great Elvis Impersonator from the U.S. he told me some intersting things about Elvis´ home at Audubon Drive, I didn't know about. I bet that you also didn’t know these details about 1034 Audubon Drive:

The home was not built for Elvis, nor was it a brand
new home. In fact it was built by Howard and Ruth
Handwerker for their family. They completed the home
either in late 1953 or early 1954. Howard was employed by a wood products company and had experience in home construction. He designed his home with special features; redwood wall paneling, pocket doors that slide into the walls, and red oak floors. When the Handwerkers moved out in 1956, Elvis bought the home, making the Presley family the second owners of 1034 Audubon Drive.

They bought the home in March 1956, not May 11, 1956 as many people have written. The transaction papers were signed on March 8 and 12, 1956. The Presley family; Elvis, Vernon, Gladys, and Minnie Mae, moved into the house the last week of the month.

It is also written that they paid $40,000 for the home. Actually they paid $29,100, still a lot of money in those days for a home. The erroneous information about the date and price of this transaction stems from a newspaper article printed on May 11, 1956.

Obviously, Elvis provided the money to buy the home.
But he signed the documents to own the home with his
mother and father, giving all three “title” to the
home. In fact, the following year all three would sign similar documents to take possession of Graceland. These documents are further proof that Elvis shared his success with his family.

Part of the legend is that the neighbors did not like Elvis. Some of the neighbors were said to regard the Presleys as “white trash, hillbillies.” Or they viewed his performances as crude, or sinful. Apparently not everyone on Audubon Drive shared those views. A few of the surviving neighbors are careful to explain that they liked the family, but did not like the noise and confusion surrounding them.

No matter how the parents of Audubon Drive felt, the 60 or more children growing up on the street loved having the King of Rock and Roll live “next door”. For the young girls entering their sexual awaking, he must have quite a treat. The boys saw Elvis as the “leader of the pack.” Elvis was accommodating to them all; signing autographs, giving motorcycle rides, playing football with the boys.

The Presley family tried to be good neighbors. Those
who met them particularly remember Gladys feeding
cookies to the nearby children, or showing off her
vegetable garden by the swimming pool. Vernon was not as friendly. They saw less of Elvis, but he was always polite to his elders. The year 1956 was the beginning of Elvis mania, when he was mobbed everywhere he traveled. The Audubon Drive home became an unofficial tourism attraction in the city, especially when Elvis was home. The Presleys understood that the unbridled enthusiasm for Elvis was a distraction, but were unable to solve the problem.

Many of the most famous pictures of Elvis were taken at 1034 Audubon Drive. Elvis allowed Alfred Wertheimer to follow him at close range for months that year. Alfred shot Elvis, young cousin Billy Smith, and Vernon sitting by the patio table. Elvis has cocked his head to one side to observe the photographer and is holding a Pepsi bottle. This photo has been reproduced thousands of times. An even more famous photo is of Elvis on his Harley-Davidson, casting his eyes downward. It is the most iconic photo of moody, restless youth of the 1950’s. Actually, Elvis was not striking a pose, but was disgusted that his motorcycle had not gas in the tank. He could not start it.

Eight families have owned 1034 Audubon between the
years 1957 to 1998. After all these years, Elvis was
the last homeowner to add a room to the house. Elvis
converted the outdoor patio into a large den; with a
glass wall to looks out to the pool, two wood and glass trophy case, mahogany wood paneling, custom made star shaped light fixtures, and an acoustic tile ceiling. The room looks the same today. Although he was the homeowner for one year, he made far more changes to the house than everyone else after him.

Finally they knew that they had to move into a place
with more privacy and security than was possible at
1034 Audubon Drive. It is well known that the Presley bought Graceland from Ruth Brown Moore, a member of a wealthy Memphis family who built that estate home in 1939. Graceland was named after a relative of Mrs. Moore. But few knew that Mrs. Moore swapped homes with the Presleys. She took possession of 1034 Audubon Drive and rented it to another relative. Elvis paid $102,000 for Graceland, half of that in cash, and half in the assessed value of 1034 Audubon Drive.

VERY INTERESTING, isn´t it. Well, Michael, how are
things in Nigeria, expecially the transaction of your money to me? I will need the money in neer future for some upcoming business. I might be interested in buying the Home of Elvis at 1034 Audubon Drive...

Regards - Peter Sackhaar

Subject: More information

Dear Mr. Peter S.
I thank you for your prompt response to my mail. I have received your banking particulars and I promised to make it confidential as I promised never to have anything doing with it other than our proposed transfer. However, I still want you to furnish us with the name of your private company, address, your private telephone and fax numbers for easier and fast communication. Whenever you are sending the name of the company, you are expected to inform us of your position in the company because all these vital pieces of information will have to appear on the contract documents as well as the remittance processing documents.
As soon as this is done the transfer process shall commence immediately without futher delay. The DG had again demanded that I should forward the detail of all the information about you for the approval of your Certificate of Work Completion (CWC) as well as your Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). All these can only be made available to him for his endorsement when you might have sent us the information required from you.
I'll like to thank you so much for all these as I hope to meet you one day since the money is going to be moved into your account for our sharing. I will also want you to inform me in your next mail in order that we may start preparation towards my proposed investment abroad, the area where I could invest my own share of the funds in your country as I am targeting an investment abroad.
Thanks for your maximum co-operation.

Dear Mr. Peter S.

I will like to thank you once again for your acceptance and readiness to receive this funds into your account in Austria. The fact is that I do not speak German neither do I speak French and I do not see language as a barrier is this type of deal since it is just all about money transfer although you will need to make some telephone call and yet you have to speak English just the little you know and I assure you that Nigeria is a peace loving country as we accomodate strangers here. So, you will not have it tough on phone with anyone that may be involved in this deal.

Dear partner, I will like to advice you to immediately send the required information to us in order that we might start the necessary process of some approval and remittance documents before you are back from Paris. You quite understood the urgency, therefore I will be expecting you to forward the information to me today in order that we may start necessary processing of the transfer since you could acess your email from Paris as well.

During a meeting session with the Director General of the Ministry of Finance, it was ressolved that all outstanding contract payments should be forwarded to the table of the Honorable Minister of Finance for an approval forthwith and your file ought to be forwarded as well in order that we might have an approval for the remittance.

I am waiting for your immediate response and full co-operation.

Dear Sir,

I believe that my explanation and proposal is very comprehensive and articulated for your easy understanding. All I am requesting from you is just to help us accept the sum of $15.5 million USD into your account. The details have earlier been written in my last mail to you. I never made any mistake and I only needed a trustworthy partner for this deal. If you could do this for us, I am prepare to compensate you with 30% of it while 60% will be for us and the remaining 10% shall be used to take care of any expenses that may be incurred in the process.

It is risk free and I hope you can do it for us. We will need to link you up with the bank with necessary documents and all I requested of you is to act as the original contractor. All arrangement has been put in place for a successful transfer of the funds into your account. If this is ok by you, you can contact me and let us start immediately.

Kindly note that this is risk free provided that you could keep it as a confidential matter between us and you.

I never made any mistake and I only needed a trustworthy partner for this deal.

You ain’t nothin’ but a hound dog
Cryin’ all the time.
You ain’t nothin’ but a hound dog
Cryin’ all the time.
Well, you ain’t never caught a rabbit
And you ain’t no friend of mine.

When they said you was high classed,
Well, that was just a lie.
When they said you was high classed,
Well, that was just a lie.
You ain’t never caught a rabbit
And you ain’t no friend of mine.
